About Us
At kite Publishing we are not just about publishing THE Kite.
We are a platform that provides writer the resources to sell their literary works online.
Most large online retailers, offer the opportunity to sell books online. But it is late in the process of publishing a literary works that a writer realizes that his share of the revenue from the sale of his work is least part of the revenue. And from the part he received, all marketing expenses are his to bear.
At kitepublishing.com we offer writers the opportunity to control the revenue from the sale of their works.
As of June 2025, we offer a marketing contract whereby the writer receives 75 % of the proceeds from the sale of his work.
We do not do marketing. We let the author choose the venues that he and his team feel confident represent a source that could generate adequate sale for the marketing effort that will be spent.
We put the authors in touch with printers that can print their book on demand.
We also take pride in introducing Tunisia carpet and solid gold bar from the gold Coast in Ghana.
We are driven by ethical conduct and believe strongly that condition to prosper should be made accessible to all.

Summary
The Kite is a story about a young boy and his home-made kite. He is curious about life and has many questions, but he does not get answers from people who might know. His journey with his kite explores how he gets some answers.
The Kite is about the relationship between a boy and his father. It is a poem, written first in French then translated into English, Haitian Creole, Spanish, Gā, Twi, kiSwahili, Yoruba and German. These languages link Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean. It offers a glimpse of our wide, wide world.
Inspiration
The Kite was inspired by the love of a parent towards their child. As a plane or kite flies high or above the clouds, we can marvel at how it does this in all kinds of weather. When we grow up, big and strong, soaring like a kite, we may finally understand and appreciate our parents and whoever helped us to soar.

Why so many languages? This is a nod to our multicultural world, and to acknowledge African based languages in mainstream literature.
